Water-Source Heat Pump Strainer Cleaning – Nolita, Manhattan
Water-source heat pumps depend on a steady flow of clean loop water. The strainer catches the sludge before it reaches the unit, and when it clogs, flow drops and the unit can fault. We cleaned the strainers over several visits across about a year and documented what came out.

Our recommendation: put strainers on a cleaning schedule
A clogged strainer cuts water flow to the heat pump and can trip it on a safety. Sludge in a water loop keeps coming, so the fix is a scheduled check, not a one-time cleaning.
We can set up recurring strainer and filter service for every unit in your building, with a written photo report after each visit.
